Just the other day a teammate told me, “it wasn’t my easiest year at Preferred, but it was definitely my best”. A year like that is definitely worth sharing because that is exactly the way life works. The best of times are only made with effort, devotion, challenges, failures and successes.
This is my month-by-month highlight reel.
January: We welcomed Kaley Harting to the team. If you know Kaley, you know she is fireball of whit and energy. You can’t keep up with her or ever be sure what she’ll say next, but you always know you’re going to get her best, from a heart full of best intentions. In other words, she is a perfect fit for Preferred Insurance.
February: There no way we can ignore the Superbowl “near win” by the Bengals. It gave us a great chance to have a party…so we did!
March: And speaking a parties leads us right to Mardi Gras. Everyone at the office brought their favorite dip. I gained a couple pounds for sure, which I guess is half the point of Mardi Gras.
April: 60 Flamingo Flocks were hard at work at the St. Henry Garage Sales! We partnered with Auto-Owners Insurance and were able to donate $1200 to the St. Henry Track and Field. Thank you to all who participated!
May: We had the opportunity to bring on Matt Emberga to the team as a virtual assistant. Matt recapped 2022 with this: “For me, 2022 is like betting all-in into the pot and winning it in the end. Being a part of Preferred Insurance Center is my awaited puzzle piece that can make a real difference in my path. PIC’s “Culture” is not just words but evident in actions. Truly making a difference to others lives!!”
June: Every year we take a few hours to decide what we as a team will commit to that year. June 2022 we also decided to give our team a name and #NachoAverageFlock was born.
July: We got involved (spearheaded by our teammate Andrea AbouJaoude) in a fund raiser for a fantastic charity that benefits Veterans in need – Lots For Soldiers. We were honored to be awarded the Gold Boot.
August: New logo, new sign, new wall decals, and I couldn’t be prouder that it is even more pink!
September: We had some extra help at the Call Cafe from our littlest Flamingos. We also started new 12 month sales BHAG – Big Hairy Audacious Goal – and I’m not shy about saying the team is on the way to our best year in years.
October: We also welcomed Nate Thobe to the team in October and we couldn’t possibly be happier about that…even if he is a Browns fan.
We were also blessed to have Our Home Family Resource Center come to the office and tell us about their fantastic mission. It was an honor to learn so much about another great Mercer County charity.
November: The Med Foundation Ball was a great time and they made our masks all trimmed in pink of course. A great event for a great cause. It was also our first Tiktok video for Thanksgiving.
December: The Christmas season was grand and we tried to do something different – The 12 Days Of Christmas.
So to sum it up, thos are just a few of the highlights. There was a lot of private heart and soul moments that will forever be part of what has turned into a truly amazing team that I am so thankful for.
